Fickert Brushes
Fickert brushes for granite and stone finishing
Fickert abrasive brushes are the standard tool for honing, ageing (antiquing), satin and leather finishes on granite, marble, quartz and engineered stone. They mount on standard Fickert holders and run on most automatic polishing lines and manual machines. Cepicat manufactures Fickert brushes in diamond, silicon carbide, ceramic and flexible (Cepiflex) filaments, in the grit and length your process needs.
Which abrasive?
- Diamond — for hard stone (granite, quartz, porcelain): fastest cut and longest life, for honing and pre-polish. See the Diamond Fickert range.
- Silicon carbide — the versatile choice for marble, limestone and mixed work: ageing, satin and leather finishes. See the Carbide Fickert range.
- Ceramic — controlled, consistent texture, ideal for antiquing.
- Cepiflex (flexible) — follows relief and bevels for an even antiqued or leather look.
Sizes and grit
Standard Fickert base in 90, 140 and 170 mm, with grits from coarse (36) to fine (400+). Open and texture the surface with a coarse grit, then climb to the finish you want.
Applications
Ageing / antiquing, leather finish, satin, honing and texturing of granite, marble, quartz and ceramic — countertops, tiles, facades and flooring.
